the snow has arrived

our first snowstorm of the winter has come and we are almost knee deep in the white stuff. i love it! zoom loves it. for poor hubby it just means a lot of extra work. i'm not much help with shoveling this year. and bad timing too since this was a crazy weekend for us. a trailer was stolen from a jobsite last week, with all the tools inside. since one was broken into this summer, hubby strengthened all the bolts and made it impossible to hook up to a truck, so the thief must have dragged it with chains. sucks. thankfully we didn't have to inventory all the tools, and our insurance will simply write a check up to the max coverage - awesome! that makes the shopping spree a little more fun and happen a little sooner.
then our washing machine broke - in mid cycle.
and then the snow started, making it beautiful, but a little more challenging to get out and around.

zoom has found a new use for my potato smasher - a snow rake. now it is somewhere in the snow. maybe we'll find it tomorrow, but i think it might now be considered a garden toy.
