a middle school english teacher had a weekly exercise for us to do called freewriting. you write exactly what comes to your mind as fast as you can write. no lifting the pencil. it is amazing to hear how quickly our brain moves from one topic to another...as with this morning's example by zoom as he pretended to ship off a diaper in a mailing envelope:

drury lane
