first thing in the morning, the dipe comes off and he pees in the toilet (which now sits in our dining room). we had a couple days of wiping up pools of pee off the floor, but now he jumps up from everything except his beloved signing movie to rush to the toilet and pee.
yesterday we were half-way down the stairs to the basement when he said, "hey mom! i feel a pee about to come out!" we hurried ourselves back up the stairs and actually made it. he is delighted in himself!
the trend has moved into our reading time too. his two favorite books are "it's potty time" and "what to expect when you use the potty". in fact, he actually quoted the book which reminds you that the best time to go to the toilet is when you "feel a pee about to come out". super funny!
as long as we are around the house it is surprising how normal it is to be naked.
kind of like the story of adam and eve. they didn't even realize they were naked. i wonder when that innocence will disappear.
so here are a few glimpses into our day. why are such every day things so much cuter when there is a naked butt in view??

He is just the cutest. I'm going to miss Commando Days. We are still in the thick of it, after a month. He tells me when he has to pee (most of the time) even with a diaper on. He poops and pees by himself Commando, then comes and tells me about it.
But the one thing we still have left...is the underwear. Things have been so busy that I still haven't had a chance to train him on the underwear, then the days I do get a chance to do it, he usually soils them, 1-2-3, and then it takes a couple of days to get them washed. Dah! Oh well...there's no turning back from here. He knows what to do, it is now just a matter of cementing his understanding of the Purpose of Underwear.
I love little butts!
