my friend sara is in the hospital with an obstructed bowel. she just had part of her colon removed and has been on a catheter. her sweet breastfed babe is in the care of his sweet daddy who is diving into this full-time parenting thing with nothing to complain about (in spite of being up with the babe every 3 hours during the night and no boob to give him). i am impressed. we've had a real live breast milk drive - it is awesome to see the community donate one bottle at a time!
PTL for a healthy colon!
our baby is producing first feces! i am at 17 weeks tomorrow. this is going by so much faster the second time around. maybe it's because i am busily distracted by zoom's never ending curiosity. maybe it's because i am not reading about the baby's advances every single day (not even every week!). i am so thankful that i feel confident that God has created my body to do this. it really makes me sad that so many women are terrified about pregnancy and childbirth. it really is amazing to be a part of the miracle of life.
